Strength from the Temptation
Matthew 4:11 KJV Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Scripture is given to us for example. That we may use it and apply it to our life. We see Jesus in the wilderness and being tempted of the devil. What we fail to see is what happens after the temptation. Angels came and ministered to him. While we struggle and face the fight of the temptation and the warfare of the enemy. We must remember we have the power to overcome it. Because the last trial we came through, God strengthened us for this one. We don’t often look at it in this aspect but if we did not have the ability to overcome the temptation. God would not have us face it. Our strength comes from Him. He grants strength in victory. When we triumph over satan it is a reward of God’s presence and ministering to the necessities of the saint. It is a moment of restoration from the Father to face tomorrow. Know this, you are capable, you are enough and you can make it! – Pastor Robert May 2/21/26

Keep Focus
1 Peter 5:8 KJV - “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
Have you ever heard the saying, “give the devil an inch and he’ll take a mile?” Oftentimes, we lose sight of what lies ahead when trials arise and troubles seem to outweigh the good. In 1 Peter 5:8, we are encouraged to stay watchful to the enemy’s tactics because he walketh about us, looking for any chance to creep in. I am reminded of a story told by a preacher at a Camp Meeting, how on his way home from a revival one night, he started to get tired. His eyes began to get heavy; his vision began to blur and what he realized next was that he had hit a pothole that made him jerk into the other lane of the road. His grandmother who was in the passenger seat, spoke up to say, most accidents occur when you’re close to home.
Let this be a reminder to you that we are almost home! Not to lose sight of Jesus. Our adversary the devil may be seeking after your soul, but the Lord hasn’t brought you this far to leave you there. Know that what Timothy said, he is “persuaded that he is able to keep” applies also to you. I encourage you, be sober, be vigilant. If there might be a care that keeps your vision blurry, cast it upon him. – Sis. Taegyn May 2/16/26

Jesus is Good!
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in should not perish but have everlasting life."
I love Jesus he is the best God ever. God is good like that song words they are weak but he is strong. Get saved like I did guys! - Bro. Jensen Greene 2/21/26

He loves Us
This is Jesus talking: John 14:15-16 – “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever.
We love Jesus so yes, I will keep his commandments to the best of my ability because I love him. This just touched me that he loved us enough that he died for us. But not only did he die for me, but he said he would pray to the father for another Comforter which is the Holy Ghost that we need for extra help so we can keep his commandments that is how much He loves us. Amen – Sis. Connie Arnett 2/18/26

A Fathers Love
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Being a father showed me what LOVE really is. God loved this world as bad as it was, enough to send his own son. I can’t imagine giving my son up as a sacrifice to save the world of people that really could care less. Gods Love is truly unimaginable. Gods Love is still the same today as it was in the days when Jesus walked the earth saving, healing people, and preaching the Gospel. Thank you, God, for your true love! – Bro. John Julio Colvin 2/17/26

Rest In Jesus
Matthew 11:28 – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
As we go through life, especially as adults, we go through things that seem to overwhelm us. We find ourselves feeling anxious about things we think are out of our control and maybe they are. Like sickness, bills, family issues etc. Burdens can be heavy. But we have a promise that if we lay it all at the feet of Jesus, he will help us get through whatever we face. – Sis. Opal Colvin 2/17/26

Holes In Your Garment
1 John 7-10 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
You don’t get anywhere with holes in your garment! As the Lord spoke this to me, it really got me thinking about how many times we think the little things don’t hurt us spiritually. Like being on our phones too much or watching a tv show too much or just something our flesh desires and we do it anyways. Not thinking it is harming us. Until we start to feel a draft come in on us. Because that small thing that didn’t seem like it was harmful made a hole in our garment and began to cause us to deceive ourselves. We think we aren’t committing any sin but truly we are. Not really knowing it in the moment of satisfying our flesh which the Bible tells us to crucify our flesh daily (Galatians 5:24)
Not being obedient is a sin in and of itself so if you know you are supposed to be spending time with the Lord and you say, “oh one more episode.” That is disobedience and sometimes we don’t realize that in the moment and that’s where the hole in the garment comes into play. The longer you let that hole grow, the bigger it will get and then it begins to let in a draft which gives room for the devil. But that’s where conviction, repentance, and grace come in at. He says, ‘if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.’ That doesn’t mean you can willfully sin. That is just saying sometimes it’s easy to fall into things and not realize what is happening. Look at Peter, he took his eyes off the Lord and began to sink but once he went underwater, he knew who to call upon. Jesus! We’ve got to know and pay attention to the things we do so that we don’t get holes in our garments and know who to look to when we have fallen short and that is Jesus. He is always right there to help! We just have to repent and ask him to forgive us, and he will forgive us for our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - Sis. Ashley Risner 2/16/26

Purpose In The Midst Of Pain
James 1:2-4 - “My brethren count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect, entire, wanting nothing.”
While reading this scripture the Lord reminded me that there is purpose in the midst of pain.
In James 1:2 the Bible reminds us to count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations. When we can find joy in the many different trials we go through, we can find the purpose instead of just finding the pain. When you're tempted, the devil is putting an experiment on you to see the proof of God that lives within you. He is putting an action on you. James 1:13-” Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:” John 10:10-” The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
The devil is putting a test to your patience, faith, and righteousness. In James 1:2 it states that “knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” The word trying in the context means trial. The devil is putting a trial on you. He's planning to not only wreck you but also your faith and everything else around you. But what the devil meant for evil God means for good. Genesis 50:20-”But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” If the devil can get your faith he can get everything. Faith is the agreeable, assurance, and belief that Jesus died on the cross for you and washed you of your sins and will continue to take care of you and your every need. It is an active profound trust. Faith is what you need to get through your trial. Faith worketh patience. Patience is when you abide and persevere with Christ even in the midst of suffering.
James 1:4 states, “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect, entire, wanting nothing.” When we lean and trust on God during the trials, we bear down and hold anchor to him, he will mend us in ways we never thought possible; even in the midst of the trial. When we lean on him instead of focusing on our emotions, or even just the whirlwind of chaos around us, we begin to see the bigger purpose for the pain. We start to recognize his plan, why we’re feeling the way we are, and how we will be strengthened when we come out of this. Jesus makes us absolutely whole, in every way possible. Everything we go through, there is a season and a purpose. Ecclesiastes 3:1 - “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” - Sis. Rachael Hensley 2/16/26

His Protection
Psalm 34:7-8 – “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
There are many promises throughout the Bible suggesting that God is our protector. The Bible says the angel of the Lord encampeth round about those that fear him meaning he shields us from Satan and his devices. Imagine every tactic of the enemy that is thrown our way coming against the angel of the Lord before it can ever reach us. The Bible says he is our fortress we can trust knowing we are safe and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). There is safety in his name, there is life in his name, healing in his name, truth in his name. Now back to this angel of the Lord being encamped around us, it is an active shield because he is a living God. Never changing, never wavering from those who love him and strive to stay in his perfect will. We are never truly alone, we always have this unseen protection, he is working things out and fighting the battles for us that we don’t even see half the time. Imagine the guards in the towers at the prisons how protective they are always watching, supposed to be always knowing what is going on in their grounds. Now imagine how much more of an ever knowing shield the angel of the Lord is around us. If we keep our minds on the Lord and his will, we don’t have to worry about what is coming or what is happening around us. All we need to do is trust in his promise that we are protected and shielded. I believe part of the reason for this scripture is because he doesn’t want us to worry or wonder about the circumstances or storms around us. He just wants us focused on him. Just like when Peter was walking on the water when he was focused on Jesus and getting to Jesus, he was fine, but he began to look at the storms surrounding him. That’s when he started sinking. If he would have just kept his eyes focused on Jesus knowing he had the divine shield around him, I believe he wouldn’t have sank. Let’s start trusting his plan, walking in his will with our heads held high knowing that we have the angel of the Lord camped about us. No matter the circumstances or surroundings that life throws at us, let’s just trust that he has our back because he cannot lie. If there’s a calling he’s placed on our lives lets walk in that calling, even if it is unknown territory trusting he will lead us every step of the way and all we must do is just live for him and serve him and let him be God. – Sis. Acelyn Greene 2/19/20

Loving God = Keeping His commandments
John 14:15 (KJV) “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
This is crucial to understand and to remember in a faith that is based purely on love, a love that we not only have for our creator but also a love that our creator shows us. A love that he so flawlessly shows us in many ways, but especially in that he sent his son, Jesus, to die for us. A love that he is able to show so purely because as the word of God says, “God is love.”. A love that we can only come to know by being with God, by getting closer to him and living for him.
This same love we show him, as he said, by keeping his commandments. By living according to his word, by following Gods will and his plan for our life. We show him we love him, by being in obedience to him, as well as loving our brothers and sisters. In a world that’s full of darkness we must never forget how bright Gods love can and will shine through us, if we allow it. And that light is what it takes to draw all those lost in the darkness, to God. It’s easy to say, “I love God”, but we are all called to also live in a way that shows it. – Bro. Jonathan Greene 2/17/26

God Protects Us
Psalm 91:11 – “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
This verse is a powerful reminder that God’s protection is intentional. It does not say angels watch over us casually or occasionally — it says He gives them charge over us. That word implies command, assignment, and authority. Our protection is not accidental; it is ordained.
In Psalm 91, the promise is given to those who dwell “in the secret place of the most High.” When we live close to God — trusting Him, abiding in Him, walking in obedience — we are under His divine covering. The Lord not only watches over us Himself, but He commissions His angels concerning us.
Notice also the phrase: “to keep thee in all thy ways.” This does not mean freedom to walk recklessly, but assurance as we walk in the ways God has set before us. As we follow Him, He keeps us. In dangers seen and unseen, in battles known and unknown, heaven is attentive to our steps. Even when we do not see it, God is actively guarding, guiding, and preserving. – Sis. Tammy Smith 2/20/26

The Healing Hand.
Psalm 147:3 – “He Healeth the Broken in Heart and Bindeth up their Wounds.”
The sudden sound of a fall followed by the sight of blood can turn a normal day into a moment of fear and chaos. In those moments, our hearts race, and we feel hopeless, but even in the shock and the mess of sudden injury, God is present.
When my husband fell and cut his hand, the bleeding was a reminder of how fragile life is yet. As I tended to his wound, I was reminded that we serve a God who is intimately acquainted with our pain.
The Bible calls him Jehovah Rapha -the Lord Who Heals
This accident though frightening is an opportunity to witness God’s faithfulness. Scars and healing wounds can become ‘stones of remembrance’ showing us that in the hands of a redemptive God, what we view as broken can be healed. While we desire quick healing, the moment calls us to trust that God is working on both the physical wounds and our emotional need of peace.
He is our Refuge - when we are shaken, he is our firm foundation.
He is our Healer-he binds up our wounds of our body and our hearts.
He is our protector - Even when a fall happens, he is with us. – Sis. Florence Tackett 2/18/26

Be Patience
In your patience possess ye your souls. ~ Luke 21:19
If I’m honest, patience has never come naturally. I like answers quickly. I want prayers to be responded to immediately. I want growth without waiting, clarity without the confusion, healing without the process. Waiting has often felt like punishment instead of purpose.
But when Jesus says, “In your patience possess ye your souls,” He shifts my perspective completely.
He doesn’t say, “In your control.”
He doesn’t say, “In your striving.”
He doesn’t say, “In your worrying.”
He says, “In your patience.”
That tells me something powerful: patience isn’t passive. It’s protective. It guards my soul.
When I rush ahead of God, my peace leaves first.
When I demand timelines from Heaven, my joy thins out.
When I compare my waiting season to someone else’s harvest, my confidence shakes.
But patience anchors me. It steadies my emotions when circumstances feel unstable. It keeps me from making decisions out of fear. It teaches me to trust that if God hasn’t moved yet, He’s still working.
For someone like me, who struggles with waiting, this verse feels like both a correction and a comfort.
It reminds me:
•My soul is more valuable than my schedule.
•My character matters more than my convenience.
•The waiting season is not wasted; it is forming me.
Patience is how I stay grounded when life feels uncertain. It’s how I refuse to let anxiety run my thoughts or frustration shape my words.
And maybe that’s the deeper gift of this verse:
God isn’t just trying to change my situation He’s strengthening my soul.
So, when I feel that familiar restlessness rising, I return to Luke 21:19. I breathe. I remind myself that patience is not weakness. It is spiritual strength under control.
Lord, teach me to wait well.
Teach me to trust deeply.
Teach me to guard my soul through patience.
Amen.

Go to Jesus
Matthew 14:29 and he said come and when Peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
When you give your heart and soul to Jesus, believe in him with all your heart and all your soul. He is the Lord and Saviour. He is better than a brother. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will be with you to the end. Have faith and believe that he is king of kings and Lord of Lords. Love him with all your heart and soul. l know he loves me. – Bro. Lonnie Puckett 2/23/26

He Lives In You
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." - 1st John 4:4
On the hardest days of my life, this truth carried me. When everything felt unbearable, the chaos, the pressure, the sorrow. I stood on this verse.
If you’re walking through one of those hard days right now, remember that you are not facing it alone. You may feel weak, but He is strong. His faithfulness will be revealed. Just trust Him!
This verse is a reminder to believers that we are Gods children and that alone changes things.
Life can be loud, heavy, and overwhelming. We face trials, pressures, temptations, fears, and spiritual battles that we don’t always see coming.
But this verse is a fact.
The Spirit of God resides inside of every child of God. That is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead and is greater than any principality, power or ruler of darkness that could ever come against us. We don’t overcome because of our strength but because of His. Trust Him!
If you are dealing with discouragement, anxiety, opposition, or temptation
Remember this truth: The one who lives in you will see you through. - Sis. Sheena May 2/23/26
